Elias traded a perfect prison for a dangerous hope.
He chose to "unplug," and with the mysterious priest and his resistance team, he's finally on the right side of the war. Their mission is to save humanity from a digital lie and reclaim a world from the ashes of nuclear fallout.
But as they fight through a fragmented reality, every victory feels hollow. Every truth they uncover leads to more questions. Their enemies are ghosts, their allies are untested, and the priest's faith is shaken by a new, insidious enemy: doubt.
What if the prison was just a single floor in a tower of lies?
What if hope is just another program designed to keep you running in place?
How can you save humanity when you can’t even tell what’s real?
Ashes of Eden continues a riveting new series exploring faith, sacrifice, and the ultimate questions: What does it mean to be human? Can we really save ourselves? Can we truly love without sacrifice?
The Eden Protocols series engages faith, sacrifice, and the ultimate questions: What does it mean to be human? Can we really save ourselves? Can we truly love without sacrifice?
Fans of Judah Lamb's The Unfallen series will love this new Christian dystopian and post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller. It's perfect for readers who loved The Matrix, Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness, and Ready Player One.
Sometimes the greatest act of love is letting go of a beautiful lie.

Elias had been stuck in a simulation pod for a long time, infact he had been hooked up to machines twice, and when he finally decided to unplug himself he was very weak and could not walk. However he joined up with some of the members of the resistance, namely Fathur Curt and Dr. Chen in the sanctuary bunker. Chen was very hard on him, forcing him to exercise and train for countless hours to make him stronger. Then he started to see visions of someone who was supposed to have been killed, but Chen tried to persuade him that it was all in his mind, and that if he kept on believing what he saw was true, he would finally end up losing his mind. However when his visitor told him he must pass on the logic prison, created by Ji-won, his former intern, Elias knew this was not his mind playing tricks on him. The virus created by Ji-won was intended to take down the system one server at a time. Finally Elias started to see some hope, and form thereon other things started to become clearer. Had he left a simulation only to be in another? He needed to save his family, his wife Serafina and their son and daughter. This had always been at the top of his agenda. Then he started to rediscover his faith, as people often do when they find themselves in difficult situations over which they have no control. Can Elias really save his family? Ji-won had told him he knew where they were, but Ji-won had been killed or hadn't he? This book is a post apocalyptic book, in which the world had been turned into a nuclear winter, with radiation levels so high, nothing and no one could live outside any more. It is a series of hope, faith and loyalty and never giving up no matter what. It is a riveting series and I look forward to reading the next book full of hope!
Elias Mercer is a scientist. His work was the basis for the simulations that existed; his intern Park Ji-won, enhanced it. Then the military confiscated it.
What is the "real world" like? Is his life in the bumker reality, with grey skies raining ash constantly? Or is this still a simulation? Who is trying to help him find the truth and who is trying to hinder him on his search?
