They're trying to force the beginning of the end...

An ancient cult believes it's their responsibility to inaugurate the Apocalypse.

Reading prophecy like an instruction-manual, they're trying to force the events of Revelation to unfold...

With an angel at his side, Landon tries to stop it from happening.

But this cult is a lot more powerful than anyone realized.

Preachers everywhere are seeing the sings of the times, and warning of an impending tribulation.

But is it real, or a hoax?  Can Landon shed light on the cult before the world is thrown into chaos?

Holy Fire is the sixth book in The Unfallen: a fast-paced, action-packed Christian suspense series. Fans of novels by Frank Peretti, like This Present Darkness, or fans of Lynette Eason, Colleen Coble, Alana Terry, or Creston Mapes will fall in love with Landon Walker. An on-the-edge-of-your-seat redemption story.

Thought Provoking

I enjoyed this story immensely. I enjoy that each battle is different. Involves different characters, different weaknesses, different strengths. I appreciate that each character joins the cause and has something to offer. Well written and thought provoking.

Strength in faith wins!

Received as an ARC, I am leaving my honest review. Shortly after reading the first few chapters I became totally immersed into the plot and the suspense filled storyline. The more I read, the deeper the pull until I could not put it down. Beautifully written, gripping, with tension filled moments that were breath holding at first, then as everything played out it had me really thinking hard about what the scriptures really mean. The destructive elements of the demons plotting to use Nicholas as their catalyst for their own agenda really drove home the need to remain vigilant in my faith and to beware of false prophecy. I absolutely loved the epic ending that had me cheering as I teared up in happiness. I am so looking forward to the next story!

Thrilling read!

I relished diving into the next edition of this series, I hung on to every word, following horrific events of previous book, as Landon, Sarah, Zacharias and Father Sciplini breathe a sigh of relief, their faith, overcame the distaster that could have been. But....Rapture theology is doing it's rounds, destructively, and Landon is once more in the centre of things. I enjoyed the characters immensely, their growth, both personal and spiritual, unfolding with each page. Landon, Sarah, Vanessa, as well as Father Sciplini and Zacharias have forged a bond, a beautiful found family.
Doomsday conspiracy is in full swing at the university, mainly thanks to Nicholas Langley, who is ploughing fear, doom and destruction in anyone who will listen. So many of the students, having just survived the demon possessions, are ripe for his misconstrued preaching, and it's leaving a toll of fear in it's wake. Landon, Sarah, Zacharias and Father Sciplini see the harm it's doing but, "The human desire for certainty in uncertain times is powerful.” resonates, loudly. And Vanessa, recently being "liberated" of her possession, is angry. Angry enough to play a prank, a cruel prank actually, which no one could deter her from. The results of which, had far reaching consequences. As Father Sciplini said,
“Truth must be advanced with love, not cruelty.” Except, the truth, when it does come out, is one riddled with holes, ammunition by someone else's hand.

Oh gosh, where this author took the story, how he twisted it, and upped the stakes was a head spin! As always, Judah Lamb presents an provocative, thought provoking read. He throws in theology, he adds mystery, he adds soul to the plot and the characters. The truth in this statement cannot be denied, “Truth must be advanced with love, not cruelty.” Most importantly, one must remember, God is not a vengeful god" as some feel fit to believe. God is love, God gives of His love freely. God is mercy. The truth might set people free, but first they had to want freedom more than they wanted the strange comfort of fear. This is hardly a purely Christian fantasy, this is about conspiracies, about certain agendas, about manipulation, wielding the word of God as a weapon and a group of unlikely allies who resonate with truth, with love, with values. Immersive, exciting, thrilling, a touch of danger, angels, demons and an awesome cast to boot!

The End Is Near...

Vanessa becomes a valued member of the team of Landon, Sarah, Zacharias, and Father Sciplini. They learn of a fairly new student, Nicholas Lindsey, who is leading an "End Times Study Group", with the idea that he is supposed to help bring about the rapture and end times. How much trouble can he cause on one college campus? Well,...

Which is Harder?

The author has painted a picture of what an ecumenical movement can look like. Personally, I think that the hardest part of this story is less the resisting of demonic influence and more the loving respectful disagreement between passionate believers. This was thrilling and touching and uplifting and painful in equal measure; this is not a novel to be read lightly.

I received an ARC via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
