Such a grueling odyssey - a lot of action, a lot of suspense, a lot of wrong turns, a lot of angst, a lot of trials - to get to such a simple and profound discovery. Take the New Testament's fast in the desert and combine that with Robert Ludlum or Tom Clancy's brand of action and you might just end up with this. I found this as thought-provoking as breath-taking. I will definitely be looking for more by this author.

Just finishing up Mortal Coil and although it's not my fave book so far, it certainly tells a very current and realistic story about how easy it is for even the most intentional Christian, maybe even with a 'call' on their life...to slip. It's also a very good reminder that satan IS everywhere, seeking who he can devour. If you're saved, he won't get your forever, but he sure can mess up your testimony for Jesus. Fast paced action and things popping up that i just didn't expect plus believable characters with real reactions keep the pages turning! Highly recommend!!
I loved how scripture was used to teach the reader how to fight against spiritual warfare. Additionally, the story was captivating and exciting. Looking forward to the other books in the series.
Sarah has gone to college as she has always wanted but it is unsettling in ways she had not expected. Landon is contacted by a professor from his old college to complete his degree. He decides to take the three courses needed on line. What they don't realize is that literally all Hell is going to break loose when Landon goes to visit Sarah. I found that the fact that this review was submitted on Pentecost is very apropos to the story line as God gives us guidance through the Holy Spirit.
No matter what is thrown at Sarah and Langdon, they always find themselves choosing the light. Even when temptation comes they find their way back to the light, back to where they belong. Not by themselves, but with the help of others. This is a unique way of helping us understand things that we question or just don’t believe. Well written in an easy flowing manner with great mastery of storytelling!
