A forgotten war hero. A viral prophecy. A race for his life.
David Shepherd, haunted by a battlefield trauma, finds solace helping injured and homeless veterans.
But a viral video of him confronting a powerful politician sparks a movement. A movement that gains momentum thanks to a fiery prophecy by an enigmatic preacher.
David finds himself thrust into a high-stakes political race he never wanted.
His message of compassion and reform ignites the public imagination, but it also triggers a desperate response from those who fear change.
As David's popularity grows, so do the threats. His investigation into corruption leads him down a dark path, where truth hides behind a veil of bullets and betrayal.
Can David survive long enough to expose the conspiracy and become the leader he didn't ask to be?
Slingshot is the first book in this fast-paced, action-packed Christian thriller series. Think David Baldacci, James Patterson, Mark Dawson, and Lee Child meet Colleen Coble, and Lynette Eason. This is a modern-day re-telling of the King David story. The establishment will stop at nothing to stop David Shepherd's rise to power - and assassination isn't off the table.

Disappointed in Slingshot. Very slow, uninteresting start of the book. The narrator is not very pleasing to the ear. Listened to 6 chapters and have not listened since. Will give it another try but not hopeful
I liked the books even though I had trouble figuring out which was book 2 or 3. The top didn't make that clear. Next, the app narrative started talking extremely fast. The app lost my place and I couldn't find it again. So they were at the airport.. and I gave up and uninstalled the app. I was enjoying the story about their battles with good and evil.
THE STORY WAS INTERESTING. THERE WERE INTERESTING POINTS SHARED IN STORY. I DID’NT AGREE WITH EVERYTHING FROM MAIN CHARACTER’S POINT OF VI8EW, BUT LIKED WHAT AUTHOR SAID ABOUT LISTENING TO OTHER POINTS OF VIEW AND THOUGHTS DIFFERENT FROM MY OWN. THE MAIN CHARACTER AND NHARRATOR NEEDS A DIFFERENT VOICE ACTOR AS SOMETIMES IT COMES OFF “PREACHY AND A LECTURE” I* DON’T THINK THE AUTHOR MEANT IT THAT WAY. THE OTHER VOICE ACTORS WERE GOOD.
The stories, while fiction were very fit for today's struggles in America. I appreciated the Biblically based spiritual content and the parallels with David and Jonathan in the Bible.
One thing i struggled with (and this is just me) was the name of Jonathan's sister....pronounced many different ways by the reader which you said Judah, was yourself but I think it was AI in many places and thats fine. I heard Meehal, Meechal Michal, and at least 2 other pronunciations for the same spelling. I dont know why that frustrates me. I would definitely purchase your books again because your storyline are very compelling so im just sharing hopefully constructive things that id change. Thank you for listening and writing good fiction!
Did not enjoy the reader. Felt like it was disjointed. Might like the books if I had read them instead of getting audlo books.
